Michael commenced his career with the Crown Law Department and moved to Corrs Chambers Westgarth (when it was called Keall Brinsden) in 1988.  Michael left that firm in 1993 to start Hotchkin Hanly with John Hanly.
Gilbert Flynn has nearly 30 years’ experience in commercial law and litigation. Gilbert commenced his career with Bennett & Co and before moving to Mallesons Stephen Jaques (now King & Wood Mallesons) where he practised both in Perth and later in Sydney.
Andrew has more than 20 years in commercial litigation. He regularly appears as counsel in contested civil proceedings in Federal and State Courts and Tribunals, including arbitrations and mediations.
Andrew Throssell has over 25 years legal experience and has been with Hotchkin Hanly since 2004. Andrew’s experience includes working in premier national firms, law enforcement and in-house for British Telecom.
Peter was admitted to practice in 1995 and has more than 23 years of experience in commercial litigation.  He has broad experience, including in the areas of property, corporations, competition, partnerships, officers’ liability, insolvency, estates and general contractual disputes.

Phillip commenced his legal career in 2004 as an Associate in the Federal Court to the Honourable Justice French who would later become the Chief Justice of the High Court.  After completing his Associateship, Phillip went on to work in two national law firms in Perth before joining Hotchkin Hanly.
Howard is an experienced litigator specialising in the resolution of building and construction disputes for principals, contractors and consultants as well as other general commercial disputes relating to trade practices, insurance, product liability and negligence.
