Mark Hemery is one of Perth’s most experienced employment lawyers. He provides a boutique employment law service, acting for both employers and employees.
Mark commenced legal practice in 1986 and cut his teeth on industrial relations litigation in both Perth and Melbourne, acting exclusively for employees and unions. He specialised in this field until the early 1990s.
Until the end of the 1990s Mark practiced in large scale commercial litigation in Melbourne, rising to the position of partner at Mallesons Stephen Jaques (now King & Wood Mallesons).
Since returning to his home town of Perth in the early 2000s to raise a family, Mark has practiced as a partner of two commercial law firms, most recently Hotchkin Hanly. During this period, Mark has returned to employment law, and has built a strong employment law practice, in both litigation and “front end” work.
In his employment law practice Mark acts both on the employer side – for small, medium and large businesses – and on the employee side – for executives, managers and other individual employees.

In addition to employment law, Mark continues to practice in general commercial litigation, drawing on his over 30 years of litigation experience.
